GETTING MARRIED IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Documentary Requirements:
- Birth certificates of couple to be married.
- U.S. passport if either/both party(ies) U.S. citizen.
- Single status affidavit and Divorce Act (if married before). For the single stat document, we will send you a copy and you can fill in the blanks, and then have it notarized.
- If either was previously married legal proof of termination of the prior marriage(s).
- Two witnesses over the age of 18 years. Family members not permitted to sign.
Other Important Information:
Your Marriage Certificate is an official document and it can be
issued in Spanish by the Dominican Republic. You will then use or present your original, with the
translated copy signed stamped and sealed by the Dominican Consulate for any legal need.
