Weddings in Honduras
Required Documentation
- Certified Copies of Birth Certificate ofof both people
- Copies of current Passports
- Medical Report of the contracting party, stating that the're both in good physical condition and apt for matrimony. Copy of HIV Test, completed within (6) months prior to marriage date
- Statement of marital status- According to the law all foreigners that want to get married in Honduras, must obtain a written statement from the consular office of his or her nationality, stating the civil status and assuring that with the laws of his or her country there is no legal impediment to get married.
- If widowed - present Death Certificate of the deceased spouse.
- If divorced present copies of the divorce court settlement.
- If Minors (under 21 years of age), must have authorization from parents.
- State occupation the contracting party.
- Pay in Municipal Treasury Marriage License.
- Pay in customs office matrimonial Edict
- Two witnesses of age. If Foreigners copies of passports, If Hondurans copies of identification cards, occupation, civil status.
- All the above paper work must be brought in 10 days before wedding date
